Meet TMAP

Emma Greene

Born and raised in Washtenaw County, Emma is deeply rooted in the communities where she lives and serves. As a mother of six amazing children ranging from 9-26, her life's passion has always been centered on family.

She is dedicated to returning power to brown and black families through advocating, educating and creating newfound community.

Over the last 12 years she has found deep meaning and purpose serving alongside trauma-informed Obstetrics and Gynecology clients.  In her role as Advocacy Program Director, she lives and breathes her guiding principles in walking alongside marginalized people of all walks of life as they find their voices navigating oppressive systems.

Emma takes pride in the rising and beautification of Metro Detroit and Downriver and currently serves on her local beautification commission.

As a curious, compassionate learner, She has always loved to teach and owns a small business that focuses on old world skills, sharing her passion as yet another way to build grass root connections.

Jamall Bufford

Jamall Bufford is a dedicated advocate for youth development, known for his work in both the arts and education. He has an extensive musical background, which includes a successful solo career and being a part of acclaimed groups like Athletic Mic League and The Black Opera. This path led to his current role as the Director for the Washtenaw County chapter of My Brother's Keeper (MBK), where he focuses on empowering young men of color. Prior to his work with MBK, Bufford spent years as an Emcee Workshop Facilitator and Music Coordinator at the Neutral Zone teen center. He also served as a paraprofessional working with emotionally impaired middle school students, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to serving the youth in his community.

Gigi Jones

As a licensed social worker, Gigi Jones has spent decades building up communities in both Washtenaw and Wayne counties, driven by her experiences as a family therapist and case service manager.

Her deep commitment to local communities was recognized with Washtenaw County's prestigious Grass Roots Award and a Detroit Community Excellence Award from the Native Detroiter, honoring her tireless contributions. Beyond her professional roles, Gigi has actively poured her energy into grassroots efforts, including her service on the county's gang task force. Her long-standing dedication to public service recently led to her election to the Ypsilanti Township Parks Commission, where she continues to serve her community with passion and expertise.

Anthony Crawford

After over two decades dedicated to Washtenaw County, Anthony has established himself as a respected figure within the system, particularly within the Friend of the Court. His extensive service as a case specialist and senior case manager reflects a profound commitment to the collective good of the families he serves. Anthony's steadfastness is evident in his ability to hone his collaboration skills, working closely with legal professionals to reach fair and equitable resolutions.

His approach is not just a job but a true vocation, and he has become an integral part of the public service in his locality. His tireless work to strengthen outcomes for families has made him a trusted ally for all those involved.

Sylvonna Reed

 Sylvonna is a Public Defender who has spent the large majority of her career working in the government and public sectors, including working for local governments, elected officials, nonprofits, and national political campaigns. She has prioritized working with marginalized and oppressed groups of people throughout her career, and believes that community is our strongest asset and strives to find ways to strengthen community resources and connecting those in need to the supports they offer. She regularly represents criminal defendants, parents who are facing contempt for nonpayment of child support, parents, facing termination of their parental rights, as well as youth in both juvenile delinquency hearings as well as child protective proceedings. 

Antoine Frye

Antoine Frye, our lead navigator at Michigan Ascent, is an incredibly relatable and powerful peer-to-peer mentor whose life experience makes him a genuine magnet for fathers navigating complex family situations. As a father who has successfully worked through The Family Court System and mastered the delicate art of parallel parenting, Antoine brings a wealth of hard-won wisdom, not just theory, to his role. He is a natural people person, known for his engaging warmth, empathy, and ability to connect instantly with others. Antoine believes wholeheartedly in the mission of uplifting and empowering fathers, offering guidance and practical strategies to help them become the best possible parents. His authentic journey from navigating legal challenges to achieving positive co-parenting results creates a trust factor that makes him the kind of mentor and figure every father feels comfortable approaching.
